MISSION: Youth Net Hamilton is a program of Hamilton Public Health Services. Youth Net aims to promote mental health and prevent mental illness through meaningful engagement in youth-to-youth dialogue, project work and leadership opportunities.
VISION: Youth in Hamilton have optimal mental health. They are connected to their community, talking openly about mental health and illness and experiencing minimal stigma and discrimination.
Youth Net Hamilton is a mental health promotion and early intervention program for youth ages 13 to 18. The program is funded and administrated by Hamilton Public Health Services and supported by the Youth Net Hamilton Steering Committee.
The program promotes youth mental health through Focus Groups and its Youth Action Team.
Youth Net Hamilton strives to increase communication and awareness around youth and mental health issues, decrease the stigma surrounding mental illness, and help youth connect with each other and their community.
